My Essential Evidence Plus Account


What does an Essential Evidence Plus subscription include?

  • Essential Evidence Plus Web Access (1 user allowed)
  • Essential Evidence Plus for PDA (1 install of either Palm OS or Pocket PC allowed)
  • Daily POEM Alerts (Delivered daily and/or as a monthly compilation)
  • Program and content updates to Essential Evidence Plus for the duration of the subscription

How often is Essential Evidence Plus updated?

Updates to the Essential Evidence Plus program are released as new features and bug fixes are available.

The Essential Evidence Plus Updater application that is included with Essential Evidence Plus can automatically download and install content updates as they become available. Updates to Essential Evidence Plus content are published one to four times per month.

Downloads of Essential Evidence Plus without the Updater and with data files included are also available. These downloads are updated each time the program is updated and every three months to include updated content.

Will Essential Evidence Plus run on my handheld?

Does Essential Evidence Plus integrate with any other medical products?

The handheld versions of Essential Evidence Plus (available for the Palm OS and Pocket PC) are integrated with Lexi-Comp's clinical reference databases. For example, if you are searching Essential Evidence Plus and a drug name appears in an article, just tap on the drug and Lexi-Comp's drug monograph will appear. When you have finished reading about the drug, exit Lexi-Comp and the screen will go back to the article you were reading.

This feature requires that you purchase and install Lexi-Comp separately. You can find more information about Lexi-Comp at www.lexi.com.

My Latest Evidence application is no longer working. Can you help me?

Latest Evidence was a third party application that contained POEM synopses, but was not distributed or supported by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. This product has been discontinued. If your subscription expired, it can't be renewed.

How much is an Individual Subscription?

The basic Essential Evidence Plus subscription is $79 for 1 year. To see a complete list of current subscription options and pricing, see the Individual Subscription form.

How much is an Institutional Subscription?

You must contact an Essential Evidence Plus representative to discuss Institutional pricing. Please fill out the Institutional Subscription Information Request form.

I receive a "Security Certificate Error" when I attempt to sign up for an account or log into my account

The security certificate for the Essential Evidence Plus website is signed by a relatively new Certificate Authority, which some browsers do not yet recognize. You should choose to Accept and Trust the certificate. To verify the Verisign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority, please visit http://www.verisign.com.

I just signed up for Trial Access or Purchased a Subscription. How do I access my account, download Essential Evidence Plus, etc.?

My Trial is ending. How do I purchase Essential Evidence Plus?

If you have a trial account, and even if your trial has expired, you should use the Subscription Renewal Form. See How do I renew my Essential Evidence Plus subscription for more details.

How do I renew my Essential Evidence Plus subscription?

To renew your Individual subscription, use the Subscription Renewal Form located in the My Account area of the Essential Evidence Plus website. (If your subscription has already expired, you will still be able to log in and access the renewal form.) On the navigation bar to the left, click My Account. Then select Renew Subscription. Use the secure form to select the package that you would like to purchase and fill out the Credit Card and Billing information.

Note that the license code that you previously obtained for your copy of Essential Evidence Plus will expire at the same time as your current subscription. After you have Renewed your subscription to Essential Evidence Plus, you will need to obtain a new registration code to allow Essential Evidence Plus to run properly through the duration of your new subscription.

I ordered Essential Evidence Plus for my handheld device on www.cma.ca and I need to register it. Can you help me?
